Whitney L. Grady

Picture
Whitney L. Grady has been enamored by the power of words since childhood. Even at an early age, you could find a stack of antique poetry books by her bed (and beside them a notebook where she scribed her own poems and stories). For decades, Whitney has written non-fiction pieces that have resonated in the hearts of her readers. Now, Whitney is happy to begin to share her fiction. If you were to ask her why she writes, she would tell you because the words are in her and she has to let them out. Where others might see the ordinary, Whitney's imagination takes her to the extraordinary. Whitney sees stories everywhere...in the muddy footprint leading from a forgotten shed...in the lipstick stained napkin slumped over an empty chair that sits across from a silent gentleman...in the whispers between children in their crisp linen Sunday best ...and in the carrot colored streaks across the southern sky. If you read Whitney L. Grady's writing, you cannot help but feel her passion for words. Take a moment out of your life to escape into her words.

Whitney L. Grady's written works have been published in A Cup of Comfort for Teachers (lead story), Imagining Heaven, Her...Magazine, The Beta Reporter, The Free Press, and her trilogy -the I Am Currency Series. Whitney is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a B.A. in English. More info at www.whitneylgrady.com
