We have four fabulous new covers to reveal today. These books will be out soon. ![]() One of the days to remember and to be thankful for all the special people and good things in your life is Thanksgiving. This book encourages children and adults alike to stop and count their blessings for family, friends, and the simple pleasures in life. ![]() Jerry Pruitt loves his tiny Kansas town so much that he is trying to bring it back to life by renovating and reopening some of its businesses. But the disappearance of a young woman and her grandmother, the strange circumstances surrounding the event, and his possible part in it begin to consume Jerry and threaten to undermine his dreams for the town, his marriage, and even his sanity. ![]() Jordan’s skateboarding days are over, now the only wheels he rides are the ones on his wheelchair. It’s no wonder that he enjoys escaping to the virtual world in his computer, and when the boundaries between the real world and the virtual world overlap, no one can blame him for choosing a world where he can be whole again. When Lexi agrees to play the computer game, she’s really just trying to be polite, but her life and the lives of everyone they know will never be the same as their bond creates an intersection point between different realities.
ST. JOSEPH AUTHOR PUBLISHES FIRST NOVELPosted: Saturday, June 21, 2014 11:54 pm
By Jena Sauber St. Joseph News-Press While out running several years ago, Nshan “Nick” Erganian came up with an idea. Now, that idea has become a reality with his first novel, “Keeper of the Mountain,” published in March. “I came up with the idea about a brand-new teacher, 22 or 23 years old, fresh out of college, headed to her first job,” Mr. Erganian says. In his novel, that new teacher, Susan Clark, is headed to Auburn, Mo., for her first teaching job. But when she doesn’t show up for work on her first day, the retired school superintendent and town sheriff get worried. They embark on a race against the clock to find Clark before it becomes too late. The book includes many unique characters, such as Jubile Walker, whose uneducated parents had to guess how to spell his name when he was born (they got it wrong), and Spook Daniels, whose real name is James Earl Daniels and whose father was one of three traveling handymen — James, Earl or Daniel. “There are lots of stories about looking for missing people,” Mr. Erganian said. “What drives this one is the unique, quirky characters.” |
