Nina Gann is a talented young artist who lost the use of her eye when a window fell and broke over her head, causing glass to become lodged in the eye. She has undergone surgery to remove the glass but needs another surgery to restore her vision. Besides wanting to help a fellow artist in need, gallery members felt that the irony of the gallery’s name in relation to Nina’s injury made it especially appropriate for the gallery to lend their support.
The artists of the Glass Eye Gallery have teamed up with authors from Amazing Things Press, offering both original artwork and autographed books by local authors to bid on. Bidding begins Saturday, November 1st. Normal gallery hours of operation are Saturdays 9-2, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 10-5, and Thursdays 10-8. Bids can be placed up until 4 p.m. on November 15th when winners will be announced. Bidders need not be present to win, however, payment for the items must be made by November 22nd, 2014. Find out more at www.tobiasonstudio.com, www.amazingthingspress.com, or www.indiegogo.com/projects/save-my-eye--2. Read on to see the items for bidding. Email tobiasonstudio@gmail.com to inquire about or place a bid. Five of our new titles, including, novels, young adult novel, and poetry, are now available in eBook form on Amazon for pre-order. The books will be available on November 15th.
Amazing Things Press is pleased to welcome our newest author, Nona j Moss (yes, the lower case middle initial is intentional). We will be publishing a young adult novel and a poetry book by her very soon. Here are the beautiful covers for them. The cover of the poetry book Nightmares or Memories is from an original oil painting by the very talented Lisa Humphrey. Enjoy!
We have four fabulous new covers to reveal today. These books will be out soon. ![]() One of the days to remember and to be thankful for all the special people and good things in your life is Thanksgiving. This book encourages children and adults alike to stop and count their blessings for family, friends, and the simple pleasures in life. ![]() Jerry Pruitt loves his tiny Kansas town so much that he is trying to bring it back to life by renovating and reopening some of its businesses. But the disappearance of a young woman and her grandmother, the strange circumstances surrounding the event, and his possible part in it begin to consume Jerry and threaten to undermine his dreams for the town, his marriage, and even his sanity. ![]() Jordan’s skateboarding days are over, now the only wheels he rides are the ones on his wheelchair. It’s no wonder that he enjoys escaping to the virtual world in his computer, and when the boundaries between the real world and the virtual world overlap, no one can blame him for choosing a world where he can be whole again. When Lexi agrees to play the computer game, she’s really just trying to be polite, but her life and the lives of everyone they know will never be the same as their bond creates an intersection point between different realities.
